The Sheffield-Sheffield Lake City Schools requires most Pupil Personnel Paraprofessionals to possess an educational aide permit and be ESEA qualified.  A passing score on the ParaPro Examination is one way to become ESEA qualified.  The ESC of Lorain County hosts exams throughout the year.  The next scheduled ParaPro Examinations at the ESC of Lorain County are on March 26, and April 23, 2018.

The Sheffield-Sheffield Lake City Schools receive federal funding through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part B grant to assist with the education of students with disabilities, ages 3 through 21. Community members who would like to learn about how the district plans to spend its federal IDEA funds are welcome to attend and provide comment on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 5:30 PM at the Board of Education building located at 1824 Harris Road, Sheffield, OH 44054.
